The logo as a ditinguishing feature
- The symbol is used as a distinguishing identifier.
It is different from all my course logos, personal site logo, and my company's logo.
The logo
as a spiral
- The symbol can be viewed as a spiral unfolding into higher understanding of nature, our professions, and business through research.
The logo as a G
- The central and outer parts of the logo appear as a G (which could stand for Graduate).
C
- The outer part of the logo appears as an C (which could stand for Conference).
Together, they could stand fro this Graduate Student Conference, GRADCON.
Further discussion
- If you do not like this interpretation, just enjoy the design.
(Notice that the logo has been developed by W. Kinsner who holds its copyright.)
One more thing
- Since the small form of the logo is so distinct and compact, it is also used as an alternative return to table of contents (TOC) button in directories and other lists.
