Course Objectives
- To understand the basic concepts of digital logic, including Boolean algebra, designing combinational digital circuits, and understanding
sequential circuits.
- To understand the design of a basic microprocessor, including
the Address Generator Unit, the Data Path Unit, and the Computer
Control Unit.
- To write 6800 and 68HC11 assembly language programs for
controlling hardware in digital systems.
- To design the software for simple microcontrollers and
microcomputers.
